Why You Should Never Use PayPal

TOP3SMALLBIZLEGALISSUES14 - The Legalpreneur

Service providers: if you are using Paypal then you are putting your earnings at risk.

Take a look at Paypal’s terms and conditions and you will see it written in plain text: Paypal will not protect service providers in disputes or chargebacks. I’ve seen people lose up to $18,000 in chargebacks via Paypal, and I don’t want that to happen to you!

In this episode, we’ll cover:

  • How Paypal conducts their dispute investigations and how the deck is stacked against you as a service provider

  • How chargebacks filed directly with the credit card company will make you lose money through Paypal… EVEN IF you’ve already won a chargeback dispute directly through Paypal.

  • When it IS okay to use Paypal, specifically when selling and shipping goods

  • My recommendations for alternative payment processing services that will protect you as a service provider.
